An outstanding

Ayrshire Restaurant

An Ayrshire hotel, Wildings is well known for modern cuisine taking advantage of the lush, clean countryside and clear seas to source the very best local ingredients, setting the standard for an out of town restaurant in a coastal setting. We are a family run Ayrshire restaurant, providing a close attention to detail across an exciting and wide choice of menus, that continuously adds exciting changes around dishes that have been chosen favourites for many years.

Wildings feature a comfortable relaxed ambience with an outlook across Maidens Harbour to the Holy Isle and the Isle of Arran. We welcome families out for the day, enjoying the Ayrshire coastline and sophisticated evening diners. We are joined by many golfers who play Ayrshire's great Turnberry Golf Courses and who want to follow a round of first class golf with first class food.

We are on the travel itinerary of Ayrshire's outdoor enthusiasts who walk, fish and cycle this unique part of Scotland that mixes lush rolling Ayrshire countryside with rugged mountains, wide moors and fish filled lochs and rivers.

Our bookings for lunches and dinners come in from across Ayrshire and further afield simply because we offer a changing mix of fresh fish, seafood and expertly cooked meat dishes alongside modern variations of traditional Scottish and countryside recipes, accompanied by an excellent wine cellar and malt whiskies.

For casual lunches and dinners we have free parking and are a welcome change if you are staying at Turnberry Hotel and want to view local life, culture and the sophisticated ambience of an Ayrshire restaurant and a modern Ayrshire Hotel.

We are on the sea front and along the sandy sea shore that leads to Culzean Castle a beautifully preserved National Trust for Scotland treasure steeped in history. A nice itinerary is a short walk from Culzean and enjoy a nice lunch with a pleasant walk back by a different route, but booking is advised particularly if the weather is good. Or park the car at Wildings and take a walk south round the headland where there is still the possibility of find a semi precious agate and which we might swap for a family lunch.
